37 week OB appt
Went in today for my 37 week OB appt.. nothing exciting.. Olivia's heartbeat was normal and good at 147 and they did check my cervix and I am not dialated but the babies but is not in the cervix so that is good. Last week, her but was lodged in there which was preventing her from flipping. She is still breech so hopefully tomorrow's 2nd attempt at the version will be sucessfull. Keep your fingers and toes crossed!!

ECV update
Just wanted to give an update after having the ECV (External Cephalic Version) done yesterday. They started out giving me an IV with a medication to relax my uterus.. i thought it would have been something to relax my stomach muscles too but it wasn't so that was weird.. try having someone push on your stomach, your natural reaction is to flex your muscles.. just felt like i was working against them and it was involuntary cuz i couldn't help that my muscles were flexing like that.. anyway, didn't seem to bother them one bit. They started the first round of maneuvering (first of about 5 or so attempts) all i can say is holy hannah did that hurt! they said i would be in mild discomfort! hah.. a man must have wrote that cuz it was down right painful.. extremely painful.. after yesterday, i am proud of myself though.. my pain tolerance is MUCH higher then i had ever thought. So.. they tried and tried but with no luck.. Olivia would just NOT flip! They did get her in a much better position though. i guess her little butt was lodged in my cervix so it would kinda be like having your butt stuck in a hole and trying to get out of it.. at least now she has a better chance of flipping on her own. It's still a 1 out of 20 shot this will happen but it could still happen. Since it was not successful yesterday, they are having me go back for round 2 next Tuesday.. i know.. call me crazy but i seriously want to avoid having a c-section if i can. Next time they will also be giving me an spinal block for the pain so i wont have to go through all of that again. Thank you for all of your prayers! Keep em' coming for next Tuesday!

Update on Olivia
Nurse just called and they scheduled me for the aversion next Wedneday at 8:30. This works 50% of the time so please say all the prayers you can for this little one to turn! Oh.. The doc did tell me yesterday that her approximate weight right now is between 5-5 1/3 lbs. They are predicting her to be a little under 8 lbs at birth and I think they said she is about 19 inces long.

Olivia Rose Saver in 3D

I had another ultrasound yesterday to see if Olivia was still breech or not. As of Monday, my midwife said she was head down so I was super excited but when I went in yesterday, the US tech said she was again breech. At this point, 1 out of 20 babies will turn on there own so I am assuming they will be scheduling me for the adversion in a few weeks. That only has a sucess rate of 50% though. Say a prayer that this little one will find her way to the correct position and that she will stay that way! I was able to get a 3D US done yesterday for a few minutes as they called in a specialist to take a look at the graphs and what not so here she is.. If you could only see Jesse's new born pic.. identical to Olivia! I can't wait to see her in person to see if she really does look just like him. Everything on the US was perfect though, her cord looked great, anmiotic fluid was perfect.. she just needs to get into the correct position now and we will be all set! 33 days to go!

Scary morning
I had a bit of a scare this morning.. Since Friday i've been having cramps.. didn't think anything major of it.. just took some Tylenol and went to bed but last night they would not go away so this morning i emailed my midwife to get her opinion. Instead of emailing me back, she called me at work and told me i had to come in asap. Once i was there, they did a urine test to see if i had a bladder infection ( i guess this can cause a lot of cramping) that was negitive so she checked to see if i was dialated.. nope.. not dialated so then they put me on this baby monitoring thing and monitored the baby for about a half an hour to see if i was having any pre-term contractions.. that also was fine, no contractions. Olivia finally moved out of the breech position and is now head down!! The midwife thinks this is what all the cramping and Braxton Hicks contractions are coming from. Usually, the baby turns way before 35 weeks so it's not so much of a shock to your body once they turn but being that she is bigger then normal (cuz she's older then the average baby when they turn) she is thinking that it was just much harder on my body once she turned and that is where the symptoms are coming from. I still have an ultrasound tomorrow at 3:40 to double check if she is breech or not so cross your fingers and toes! Only 5 weeks to go!
It's all in the name
So.. after months and months of debating.. Jess and I finally picked a name for our little one who will be joining our family in 5 weeks. Her name will be Olivia Rose Saver :)

33 Week OB Update
I had my 33 week OB Appt yesterday. All went very good except the baby is still in a breech position. They do not tend to get too worried about this until 35 weeks, so they scheduled me for another ultrasound which I will have on 03/18/08. I am super excited that I get another US as this time I will be able to bring my mom and sisters. I am guessing that if she is still breech in two weeks they will try to turn her.. otherwise.. hopefully she will turn on her own. Once they get past the 35 week mark it's a lot harder for them to turn on there own cuz they are much bigger and don't have a lot of room to move around. So.. keep your fingers crossed that she will get into the right position or maybe I will try standing on my head :)
